MUSCAT: As per the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Royal Cavalry, will take part in Royal Windsor Horse Show from May 12-15.
The event will mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Head of the Commonwealth.
The show will be held on the grounds of the British Royal Windsor Castle, with a turnout of more than 1,000 participants, including riders, musicians, writers and actors — and 500 horses. The performance covers equestrian sports, military marshals and music shows.
The Royal Cavalry's participation, which comes in response to a British Royal invitation, will stage Omani and international musical pieces and showcase the Sultanate of Oman's cultural and civilisational heritage in this global show.
It will be the fourth participation of its kind for the Royal Cavalry in this show. — ONA
