With the approach of Eid al Fitr, the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), represented by its directorates and departments in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, has intensified its monitoring and awareness campaign of the markets and commercial centres for any undue price hike or hoarding of essentials to protect the rights of the consumers.
The CPA inspection teams are also following up on meat markets, sheep pens and meat stores to ensure price stability and the availability of supplies.
