MoL discusses issues faced by staff, businesses in Al Dahirah

Muscat: Aimed at overcoming all obstacles that may hinder the implementation of various plans, Sheikh Nasr Al Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour recently paid a visit to the Wilayat of Ibri in Al Dhahirah Governorate as a complementary to the visits he carried out to the North Al Batinah Governorate.

During the visit, Al Hosni met with the officials and employees of the Directorate-General of the Ministry, who briefed him on the progress of work and the obstacles they face in their daily work.

The Excellency directed the officials to facilitate the procedures that would overcome all difficulties that may affect the workflow, taking into account that the governorate enjoys a commercial boom and a strategic location, which makes it an important center in this aspect and a leading role in feeding the surrounding areas.

During the meeting, Al Hosni focused on several basic points that would advance the work and maximize its quality. He listened to an adequate explanation that enhances the joint work between the Ministry and its directorates.

Business owners had briefed His Excellency on the most important obstacles they face in making decisions, overcoming crises, and looking at the visions that would create the modern future of the governorate.

It is the policy of the Ministry of Labour to improve conditions in the governorates and put them at the forefront of concerns. This visit is part of adhering to this wise policy adopted by the Ministry.

In his conversation with business owners, Al Hosni affirmed that the ministry seeks to devote the noble goals aimed at overcoming all the difficulties that business owners may face and affect their work and aspirations. On the sidelines of the visit, His Excellency discussed with the Social Dialogue Committee the struggles facing the private sector in this governorate. The Social Dialogue Committee referred to all current issues; the top of which is the job nationalisation, production enhancement, and ways to deal with crises such as the pandemic.

The officials commended the visit, which is an indicator to exert more and an encouragement to raise the level of productivity.

It is noteworthy that recent exemptions directed by His Majesty gave a great boost to the private sector to advance and strengthen its tools for a bright future.

A number of business owners that there is a response from officials at the Ministry to all their demands, pointing out that such meetings with the Labour’s Minister of Undersecretary are very fruitful.
