Shinas: Students from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Shinas, have invented a solar and wind-powered electric generator that utilizes the Clean Energy Interoperability system.
Ahemed bin Mohammed al Washahi, an engineering student and one of the team members said the idea of the device is based on two different ways for generating electrical power through solar cells and a windmill system thus combining two sources of renewable energy to generate electricity.
The new electrical generator can be used for camping and in remote areas that lack permanent electricity sources. He added that the device is easy to use and ensures production of clean and environmentally-friendly electric energy. He pointed out that the team is currently developing the invention by making an electric generator that works on sustainable magnetic energy. — ONA
