Al Hail CT to hold Danube cricket tourney

MUSCAT: The Al Hail Cricket Club will organise the 3rd edition of the Danube Ramadan Tennex Ball cricket tournament 2022 at the Al Hail Cricket grass ground in Maabela on April 4.
The tournament matches will be played on a knock-out basis with participation limited to 32 teams. The tournament is open for all the teams that are participating in Oman Cricket's ‘A’ division and all other divisions below. The organisers have decided to give some interesting prizes besides the main trophy and cash prizes for the winners and runners-up teams. There will also be prizes for the best bowler and best disciplined team apart from the regular prizes.
In addition, there are other prizes that will be given away in various categories. To make it more exciting for the viewers as well, the organisers will also give away surprise gifts on weekly basis to the visitors and viewing audience. A separate area will be provided for children to play during the course of the tournament.
All the matches will start at 9:30 pm. The interested teams can register their team through our website. The website can be accessed on the following URL www.alhailcricketclub.com.
Registration will be on first-come first-served basis with limitation up to 32 teams max. The tournament draw is scheduled to take place in HCT ground in Maabela at 7.30 pm on March 31 in the presence of all the team captains and managers.
The organisers thanked Thamim Ansari, Country Head-Oman- Danube, for his support to cricket in the country. He is also an accomplished cricketer and currently playing soft ball cricket in Oman for the Danube team. In the past, Thamim had played first class cricket in UAE for Danube team and scored century as well.
The main sponsors of the tournament are Al Danube, a top building materials company in the Sultanate of Oman. Danube are sponsors for this grand event for the third year in a row.
