Muscat: The Mussanah and Al Ittihad encounter’s ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday in the 16th week of 2021/2022 Omantel League.
At Al Rustaq Sports Complex, Hamood al Saadi netted the opening goal in the match in the 18th minute while the equaliser came in the late ten minutes of the games by Abdulwas al Matri in the 81st minute. The draw meant Al Mussanah raised their credit to 24 points while Al Ittihad remained in the danger zone at 12 points.
Earlier on Saturday, Al Nahdha snatched a crucial 2-0 win over the league leaders Seeb in the 16th week of the domestic top tier league.
At Al Buraimi Sports Complex, Oudi al Qura and Ricardo powered Al Buraimi based team with vital three points that equalised them with Seeb and Dhofar in the top at 32 points.
The Salalah giants were held to a 2-2 draw against Oman club on Saturday at Salalah Sports Complex. Omar al Malki scored the equaliser goal for Dhofar in the dying minutes.

The triumph helped the capital city team to leave the danger zone slightly as they jumped to 15 points. On the other hand, Nizwa was positioned in the drop area at 13th place with 11 points.
The northern Batinah derby between Sohar and Saham ended in a 1-1 draw at Sohar Sports Complex. Salim al Maqbali put Sohar ahead in the 15th minute and Faisal al Buraiki equalised for Saham in the 81st minute. The draw put Sohar in the middle of the league table at eighth place with 23 points. Saham is struggling at the bottom of the table with seven points only.
