Sri Lankan minister of regional cooperation receives Omani business delegation

Colombo: Tharaka Balasuriya, Minister of State for Regional Cooperation of Sri Lanka received here on Monday Eng Ridha Juma al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Head of the Omani business delegation currently visiting Sri Lanka.
The meeting highlighted investment opportunities in various sectors in Sri Lanka, particularly in software and information technology, logistics, health, real estate and business initiatives in the field of producing batteries for electric vehicles (EVs).
The meeting also touched on establishing a new partnership in exporting and importing goods through ports of the two countries, among other topics.
During the meeting, the Omani delegation shed light on the investment opportunities in various economic sectors listed on Oman Vision 2040.
The Sri Lankan Minister of State for Regional Cooperation affirmed to Oman News Agency (ONA) that the Omani business delegation’s visit will extend the horizons of economic cooperation between the two countries.
