'Mutebah' grabs Al Bashayer cup on second day

ADAM: 'Mutebah' belonging to 'Hejen Al Bashayer' owned by HH Asaad bin Tariq al Said claimed the

Cup and car in the second day competition of the fifth Al Bashayer Camel Race Festival in Adam on Tuesday.

'Mutebah' won the race for young category '3 years old' for 4 km which saw strong competition between the participants from the GCC countries for five rounds.

'Mutebah', coached by Hamid Muhammad al Jahafi, covered a distance of 4 km in a time of 7:39 out of 19 camels to take the first round.

The second round was for Cup and car and 'Al Dabi' owned by Mohammed bin Mubark al Shamsi from the UAE won the race, covering 4 km in 7:37 out of 53 participants.

In the third round for gun and car, 'Nasi' owned by Saed bin Salim al Shamsi from the UAE finished on top out of 37 camels.

In the fourth round for car, 'Mahubah' owned by Saed Salim al Gdeali, which covered the distance in 7:42 out of 71 participants, bagged the prize.

In the fifth round, 'Al Hather' owned by Saed bin Hamed al Amri won the car beating 65 camels and covering the race in 7 minutes and 43 seconds.
