Health minister meets team tasked with Helsinki policies

Muscat: Dr Ahmed Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, held a meeting here on Wednesday with the team of Forward Thinking Organization which organizes Helsinki Policy Forum (HPF).
The meeting addressed existing cooperation and means of promoting it within the HPF Health Working Group.
The meeting brings together representatives of countries and non-governmental institutions.
It is convened periodically to discuss issues of concern to global health and to draft recommendations on enhancing health policies and serving public health at national and international levels.
The meeting reviewed the Global Health for Peace Initiative, launched by the Sultanate of Oman in 2019 and was later endorsed by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Executive Board in January 2022.
