Muscat International Book Fair 2022 to kick off on Thursday

Muscat: The 26th Muscat International Book Fair 2022 will begin at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday, February 24 and last till March 5.
The opening ceremony of the fair will be held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
The extravaganza will boast a strong comeback and host an elite selection of literati, media personnel, publishers and exhibitors, with the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah as the Guest of Honour.
It will showcase a wide range of programmes and cultural activities carrying the insignia of its heritage and cultural legacy throughout the days of the book fair.
As many as 114 cultural activities, among them 29 unique to the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, will be staged, but children’s activities will be limited to 85 in line with Covid-19 precautionary measures.
