Muscat: A project, to enable drone-based delivery of parcels in Muscat, has been launched in cooperation between the Governorate of Muscat and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
'We hope the signing of the memorandum of understanding will enhance the utilisation of the drone system in the Sultanate of Oman, localise modern technologies for delivery services, and enrich the logistics sector by adding new services that contribute to the integration of supply and supply chains in the Governorate of Muscat, ' Muscat Municipality said in a statement:
The project is part of several initiatives to mark the celebration of Muscat as the Arab digital capital for 2022.
This service, which was carried out in cooperation with Uvi Robotics, a company specialised in the field of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and drones, aims to enable the people who live in the remote areas of Muscat to benefit from fast delivery of products and supplies.
