‘Discover Oman’ programme makes staff aware of history

MUSCAT: The Zubair Corporation, together with Bait Al Zubair Museum, organised a special programme for its employees and families of its group companies. Entitled, “Discover Oman”, the programme provides a unique opportunity for invitees to delve into and learn more about the rich history of the Sultanate of Oman, across various time periods. This was conducted through an exceptional visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which hosts a unique collection of antiquities and artefacts that chronicle the historical stages of the Sultanate of Oman.
Commenting on the importance of the programme, Hilal bin Omar al Siyabi, Head of Corporate Services at The Zubair Corporation, said, “The “Discover Oman” programme aims to bring together different generations, especially the youth and familiarise them with ancient Omani history and historical eras. Together with Bait Al Zubair Museum, we took the employees of the Corporation and subsidiaries, as well as their families, on an introductory tour to enhance their knowledge of the national history of the country.
Since Bait Al Zubair Museum is one of the notable cultural facilities that host collections and antiquities dating back to different periods of Omani history, it supports the enrichment of knowledge of every visitor, with regard to the journey that built this proud nation.
“The organisation of this programme stems from the framework of the corporation’s vision need to strengthen the citizens’ culture of belonging to their beloved nation, by learning about its vast history. This also reinforces the strong partnership that we hold between the subsidiaries of the Zubair Corporation, which is a reflection of our joint teamwork’’, Hilal added.
