Shura to host ministers of higher education, economy on Monday

Muscat: Majlis Ash’shura is going to host Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim al Mahrouqiya, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy, at a public session to be held next Monday.
The meeting will be dedicated to discussing the topic of unemployed graduates based on a request presented by a group of the council’s members.
This was stated by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura. He added that the council will convene its 6th and 7th regular meetings of the third annual session (2021-2022) on Monday, January 31 and Tuesday, February 1.
Al Nadabi stated that that the seventh regular session, which will be held on Tuesday, February 1, will be dedicated to discussing and approving the report of the joint committee between the State Council and Majlis Ash’shura on the articles of disagreement between the two councils regarding the draft Securities Law, and the draft amendment of some provisions of the Records and Archives Law promulgated by Royal Decree 60/2007.
During the meeting, a number of follow-up tools submitted by members of Majlis Ash’shura as well as government responses, will be reviewed. The meeting will also discuss the reports of the standing committees on a number of issues referred from the Office of Majlis Ash’shura.
