Sultanate of Oman sees fall in mercury

 
Muscat: Most of the Sultanate of Oman’s governorates are witnessing a noticeable decrease in temperature, said Oman Meteorology on Thursday

"The weather will be clear skies over most of the governorates with drop in temperatures and chances of dust storms over desert and open areas. There is a chance of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over the governorates of Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah," Oman Meteorology said in a statement.

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 22 degree Celsius and 14 degrees respectively in Muscat, 10 degrees and 1 degree in Saiq, 18 degrees and 8 in Ibri, 21 degrees and 11 degrees in Rustaq, 22 degrees and 11 in Haima and 19 degrees and 13 degrees in Khasab.

At least six people have died after two days of heavy rains.
