Update vaccine certificates issued from outside Oman

Those who have taken vaccines from outside the Sultanate of Oman and possess vaccination certificates need to update their status with Tarassud Plus, according to Ministry of Health (MoH) sources.
Accordingly, anyone who has got their jabs administered from any country other than Sultanate of Oman but arrived in the country can log on to the mobile application and get their status localised, MoH said.
“Any person who has taken Covid-19 vaccine which are approved by the Sultanate of Oman can transfer their status by logging on to Tarassud Plus application and get their local vaccination certificate issued,” said Dr Nihal Afifi, Head of Primary Health and contact point for vaccination.
In addition to filling up the e-form, the applicant needs to provide a civil ID number, date of birth, passport number, mobile number, vaccination details, name of the vaccine, dates of two doses taken, details of the place/ medical centre where the vaccine was taken, and copy of the e-Mushrif certificate which was issued while the person arrived from the country of origin.
“Any manipulation to the information provided is an offence and is subject to legal procedures against the offender.”
The Sultanate of Oman has made vaccination certificates mandatory to enter public places, including shopping malls, commercial outlets, parks and the like, besides making it compulsory for international arrivals to show their vaccination certificates at the entry point.
There have been cases where people with vaccination certificates issued from outside the country were stopped from entering public places initially. All those carrying Non-Omani certificates have been urged to transfer the same online or offline.
“In order to do it offline, one needs to contact Tarassud outreach office on 71509360 and validate the same,” the doctor said. While contacting the office, one needs to keep the documents ready with him/her in order to add the external certificate of vaccination in the Tarassud programme. Valid vaccination certificate, ID card/ residence card, passport, contact number are to be attached to the application.
