Sultanate of Oman participates in Arab Parliament Office session

 
Amman: A delegation of the Council of the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday took part in the 5th session of the Arab Parliament’s Office for the 2nd sitting of the third legislative term.

The 5th session of the Arab Parliament’s Office precedes the convening of the plenary session of the Arab Parliament, scheduled to be held on Thursday at the Jordanian Parliament.

Dr Hasan Ali al Madhani, member of the Majlis Ash Shura, attended the session as the Vice-President of the Arab Parliament, and member of its Office.

The meeting was chaired by Adel al Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament. During the session, the members discussed a range of issues related to the legislative aspects of the Arab Parliament.

The session also reviewed proposals and reports of the permanent committees, besides approving the agenda of the plenary session of the Arab Parliament to be held on Thursday.

At the top of the session's agenda will be discussing developments of issues in the Arab region, particularly the Palestinian Cause, as well as the role of Arab parliamentarians in backing them in various parliamentary and international events. --ONA
