CMA launches app for appeals on decisions

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) has rolled out an app that makes it possible for investors and other market stakeholders to submit appeals against any decisions by the Authority.

Appeals can be filed electronically through the app or personally or through a representative or legal attorney to the Appeals Committee comprising two judges nominated by the Council of the Administrative Affairs of the Judiciary and a member nominated by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“CMA is keen to update its electronic systems for the benefit of individuals and institutions seeking to avail themselves of the services it provides in keeping with the digital transformation goals set out in Oman Vision 2040. The CMA aims to increase efficiency at an annual average of 10 per cent,” it stated.
