Fahd returns home after attending GCC summit, sends thanks cables

MUSCAT: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, has returned home after leading the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation, on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, in the 42nd Summit of the GCC Leaders.

After the conclusion of the Summit's deliberations, HH Sayyid Fahd sent cables of thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Sahd, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of KSA.

In the cables, HH Sayyid Fahd expressed thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation.

HH Sayyid Fahd was received upon his arrival by Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed al Salmi, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education, Shaikh al Fadhil bin Mohammed al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information and Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism. -- ONA
