NLG wins two awards 4 times in a row at AIWA 2021

MUSCAT: National Life and General Insurance Company (NLG) scripted history by retaining the #1 spot as Best Performing Company in Large Cap Segment at the Alam Al- Iktisaad (AIWA) Awards 2021 for the 4th time in a row and the first company to do so since the award was instituted in 2009.
S Venkatachalam, CEO, also won the Best CEO of the Year award maintaining his top position for the fourth time in a row at this 13th edition of AIWA awards which is a much deserved recognition of his astute business acumen and vision. Under his able leadership, the company has scaled great heights since the time he took charge of NLG in 2003. The awards are based on the survey of financial performance of companies listed on Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) in 2020.
“I thank the organizers UMS group for recognizing the Top MSX listed companies in Oman across small, mid and large cap segments and I congratulate all the winners based on the performance of 2020 which was really a challenging year. This ranking based on various financial performance parameters is all the more rewarding as it comes after overcoming many odds that the pandemic COVID 19 posed.
