Al Nasr strengthen the lead at top

Muscat: Al Nasr extended their lead with seven points after the end of the third leg of 51st edition of His Majesty the Sultan's Hockey Cup finals following a 1-1 draw against champions Ahli Sidab.
Al Nasr beat Seeb 3-0 and Suhar 4-1 while Suhar came second with six points after defeating Salalah 3-2. Ahli Sidab claimed the third place with four points after a 1-1 draw against Seeb.
Salalah ended the round at the bottom with 1 point.
The third round witnessed a tie of Al-Nasr and Ahli Sidab after a 1-1 draw. Both teams are the top favourites to reach the final match given the standard they have displayed and the history of the two clubs in the championship.
Three matches were held in the third round where Suhar gained a hard-fought victory over Salalah with a score of 3-2 putting Suhar in the second place with six points. Salalah’s balance remained with one point at the bottom of the standings. Saham-Seeb match ended in a 2-2 draw bringing Seeb’s balance to four points in a tie-up with Ahli Sidab, while Saham finished fifth with two points.
