NCSI, ODP sign technical partnership

 
The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) and Oman Data Park Company (ODP) signed a partnership and cooperation contract covering the provision of cloud services. The partnership will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of the government entities.

Dr Khalifa bin Abdullah al Barwani, CEO of NCSI, stated: “Global technological developments have underscored the importance of cloud services in enhancing the financial and operational capabilities of public sector entities, ensuring uninterrupted business continuity, and enabling access to the Centre’s data from any geographical location. It will also enable to Centre to adhere to the standards of the e-government and digital transformation applications.”

Eng Maqbool bin Salem al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Data Park Company, said: “This cooperation reflects the confidence of government and private agencies in the capabilities of Oman Data Park. It also enables organisations to gain the various benefits of the cloud services, its high cyber security protection systems, and its technical support service around the clock, seven days a week.”

ODP, he said, provides homogeneous data solutions with international standards, in addition to top quality cyber security services, including the Security Operations Center services (SOC) and Network Operations Center services (NOC).
