Children feted for 6 Australian innovation patents

MUSCAT: A Patent Award Ceremony was held here recently to motivate the Young Innovators of the Sultanate of Oman who have contributed towards for Australian Innovation Patents.

During this special event, over 20 children aged 8 to 16 who have contributed for 6 patents in last one year were felicitated along with their parents. The projects that are filed for a patent are as follows, “A Programmed Power Load Regulator Wirelessly Coupled With At Least One Stand Alone Console Unit”, “IoT Controlled Autobot for Warehouse Management”, “An IoT Controlled Tilt Indicating Device”, “Artificial Intelligence Based Multipurpose Cradle System”, “An Artificial Neural Network Based Umbrella For Visually Impaired”, “IoT Based Student Presence Notification Device For School And School Buses”. Three of the above 6 projects have already been granted a Patent and remaining three are awaiting the grant. One of the children granted with the Patent, Jyoshita Datta Juluru said, “Everything we learnt with Arcomm was new and their practical sessions every week were so interesting, which encouraged us to innovate and excel with Patents.”

The event was graced by the presence of Zahir Khalid Sulaiman al Sulaimani, Chairman of ARCOMM Oman, Mazin Zahir Khalid al Sulaimani, CEO of ARCOMM Oman, and Dr Arun Raaza, Founder CEO & Innovations Head of ARCOMM. Zahir addressed the gathering and said “we are on a mission to enable lots of young innovators from the Sultanate of Oman with world class training and make the country as one of the best innovation hubs in the world. I heartily congratulate all the children whose patents have been granted.”

During the event the children presented their patent innovations and explained how they developed those ideas into prototypes and working models. They also explained the importance of the training they underwent in ARCOMM which had kindled and sharpened their innovation skills. One of the parents who attended the event, Dr Yogeeswari, Mother of Nithin Senthilnathan said, “We are extremely happy to be part of the event. Arcomm offers state of the art hands on training in emerging technologies and apart from the Power Load Regulator Innovation Patent, they guided my child to get first prize in Muscat Science Fest 2020”.

Another parent, Manimaran, father of Kaamini said, “Arcomm provides an outstanding curriculum to learn Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Its stupendous academic team not only teaches the concepts but also strives to bring out innovative ideas from fresh young minds. I was astounded when my daughter came up with an idea of Smart Cane that helps visually impaired people and won first prize in Innofest 2021 competition. I surely recommend Arcomm for every parent who wants to enroll their child in Robotics/Coding/IoT/AI program”.

Motivating these young children who contributed for innovations will enable more children to come out with useful innovations for local and global community. ARCOMM Oman is on a mission to produce more such student Innovators from the Sultanate of Oman and rest of the world with their technical skill development programme.

Apart from providing state of art technical training to children aged 6 and above, they regularly nurture student innovators and innovations globally. They mentor and guide children to come out with notable innovations and realizing their ideas into reality. They have contributed for several award-winning projects and patents globally.
