EU-NAVFOR, Operation Atalanta commander visits MSC

Muscat: Rear Admiral Alejandro Cuerda, Commander of the European Union Naval Force (EU-NAVFOR), Operation Atalanta and his accompanying delegation visited the Maritime Security Center (MSC) at Al Murtafaa Garrison on Tuesday.
Upon their arrival at the MSC, they were received by Commodore Mohammed Hamoud al Zedjali, Head of the MSC.
The guest toured the center’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies.
He was also briefed on the roles and tasks carried out by the center within its national duties, as it coordinates with relevant authorities in search and rescue missions and the safety of the maritime environment. --ONA
