UNESCO-Sultan Qaboos Prize for the conservation presentation ceremony in Paris tomorrow

MUSCAT: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, Chairperson of Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, will present the UNESCO-Sultan Qaboos Prize for the Conservation of the Environment, on November 17 on the sidelines of the 41st session of the General Conference of UNESCO, being held in Paris, France.
The presentation of the 16th UNESCO-Sultan Qaboos Prize for the Conservation of the Environment, comes within the framework of the Sultanate of Oman’s celebrations on the passage of 32 years since the launch of the prize which was announced in 1989 with the aim of honouring outstanding contributions of individuals, institutes and organizations working in the fields of environmental researches, education and training. — ONA
