Shabab Oman II sets sail to Bahrain from Saudi Arabia

 
JEDDAH: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) ship Shabab Oman II, set sail from the King Abdulaziz Port in Saudi Arabia heading to the Mina Salman in Bahrain, on Monday.

The ship was seen off upon departure by the deputy director of King Abdulaziz Port.

Shabab Oman II will sail 125 nautical miles and is expected to reach her destination in Bahrain tomorrow (Tuesday).

In her fifth international voyage, Shabab Oman II is touring the GCC countries under the theme ‘Oman a Renewed Approach’, equipped with the deep-rooted maritime history of the Sultanate of Oman and carrying the messages of cooperation, friendship, fraternity with all brotherly and sisterly nations.

The voyage will see her touring a number of ports in the GCC countries.

On board the Shabab Oman II are a number of students from the GCC countries and other countries of the world, to undergo accredited academic programmes in the fields of tourism, hospitality and navigation. — ONA
