MUSCAT: The third national workshop for the plantation of 10 million trees, organised by the Environment Authority in cooperation with public and private authorities and societies, concluded on Wednesday.
The workshop came up with several recommendations including holding a lab for the implementation of future projects and initiatives, preparing for a laboratory to determine the areas to be planted and the type of plantation up to 2030, identifying the geographical locations on the map, determining the proposed mechanisms for plantation at each site, identifying the contribution of each of the parties involved in the initiative.
The initiative is aimed at boosting protection from the effects of climate change in addition to biodiversity at the level of the fertile environment in many natural habitats and various micro-animals that live in such cultivated environments in the Sultanate of Oman. — ONA
