Wizz Air Abu Dhabi launches flights to Muscat

Muscat International Airport on Sunday received the first flight of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.
The airline will operate with three flights per week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between Muscat and the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
Besides Muscat, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is expected to launch several routes in the coming days.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a joint venture with state-owned ADQ [2] (formerly, Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company, ADDH), which owns 51 percent with Wizz Air Holdings owning the remaining 49 percent.
As part of Oman Airports’ initiatives to promote the economy and tourism between Oman and world countries, Oman Airports expressed its pleasure as Wizz Air launched its flights to Muscat International Airport by operating direct flights.
'This route is of huge advantage for inbound travelers either for business or tourism through several airline flights that operate their flights to Oman. Oman Airports stated that since the opening of the new passenger terminal at Muscat International Airport, it has been seeking to attract regional and international airlines,' Oman Airports said.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is among the biggest airline network covering tourism sector in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the fastest-growing European carrier with a fleet of 141 Airbus (A320 and A321). It also offers premium services on the hands of a specialized aviation team at lower costs, which makes Wizz Air the preferred option for 40 million passengers a year, the statement said.
