The shifting of land border posts at Wadi al Jizzi and Wadi Sa'a have been welcomed by residents of Al Buraimi governorate, which is expected to boost economic, commercial, and tourism activities in the region.

The decision to relocate the land crossing in Wadi al Jizzi and Wadi Sa` is expected to ensure a smooth flow of traffic between the Buraimi Governorate and the rest of the governorates.

The decision has been overdue for its positive impact on the economic and tourism sectors and normal lives.

The officials connected to the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in Al Buraimi Governorate said the private sector in Al Buraimi Governorate is satisfied with the abolition of the internal checkpoints linking Al Buraimi Governorate with the rest of the Sultanate’s governorates.

They said that the Buraimi Governorate is an important economic gateway to the Sultanate, and the abolition of ports will improve the economic activity, as it will encourage companies to set up their projects in the governorate due to its strategic location.

The decision will allow all nationalities to enter the governorate with ease and ease, as well as for the economic movement, will facilitate the entry of goods and commodities, and this matter will reduce the prices of commodities and provide them in the governorate.
