Oman participates in meeting of Arab Environment Ministers Council

 
Cairo: The Sultanate, represented by the Environment Authority took part in the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment (CAMRE).

The meeting was held at the premises of the Secretariat General of the Arab League.

The Sultanate’s delegation was headed by Dr Abdullah Ali al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority.

The meeting discussed a spectrum of topics, including environmental indicators and sustainable development, as well as the Arab action taken in tackling climate change issues.

Moreover, the meeting touched on the topic of green recovery in the post Covid-19 era, in addition to a number of other related topics.

Meanwhile, the Sultanate’s delegation went on tour of the Egyptian Environment Affairs Agency in the Ministry of Environment.

During the tour, members of the delegation explored the experiences, efforts, initiatives and projects of the ministry in various environmental fields. --ONA
