Muscat: Oman's weather office on Monday said the impact of tropical cyclone Shaheen is over on the Sultanate.

The latest Weather charts analysis of the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Center indicates that direct effects from the weather system are over. The weather charts show the low-pressure system is currently located southwest of Al-Dhahira governorate near the border of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia with gradually dissipating, while the sea state along the coastal areas of Oman Sea will be moderate with a maximum wave height of 2 meters.

Chances of isolated thundershowers and flash floods over al Hajar mountains and adjoining areas towards afternoon and evening, therefore the public are advised to take precaution, not to cross wadis and to be away from low laying areas.
