Plan to appoint nearly 1,000 Omani teachers

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has set a plan to appoint 997 Omani teachers in various disciplines.

The plan aims to replace expats with Omani teachers across a number of disciplines. Of which, 68 are Arabic language teachers, 203 mathematics, 26 chemistry, 34 physics, 67 biology, 107 music skills and 492 first field teachers.

Majid al Bahri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, said that the announcement comes within the plan of the two ministries to replace Omani cadres in educational jobs in various disciplines through appropriate preparation and qualifications.

The Omanisation drive targets Omani job seekers and retirees of the Ministry of Education, who hold a university educational qualification. — ONA
