MUSCAT: The directorate of Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate raided a shop selling electronic cigarettes and hookahs.

The move comes within the framework of the efforts made by the CPA in all governorates to monitor the markets and curb violations committed by some vendors and suppliers and prevent the spread of illicit or banned products that affect people’s health.

As per the details, the CPA’s inspectors, during a routine field visit on the market, observed a shop selling electronic cigarettes and hookahs in violation to decision No 698/2015 banning trading and dealing in electronic cigarettes and hookahs. The CPA’s inspectors seized 385 boxes and are working to complement legal procedures.
