Dr Said al Shari re-elected as OHA chairman

Muscat: Dr. Said Ahmed al Shari re-elected as chairman of Oman Handball Association (OHA) on Sunday for another term (2021-2024). The majority members of OHA general assembly voted for Salalah representative who had 17 votes while the other nominee was Captain Said al Busaidi.
A total of 26 clubs attended the general assembly meeting which was held in the main indoor hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. Moosa al Balushi remained the Secretary General of OHA for another term as he had obtained the confidence from OHA general assembly with 16 votes. Al Mussnah man will continue his duties alongside the existing chairman with the new faces in the board members.
Jameel al Hasani (15 votes) was elected as the new vice Chairman while Ali al Alawi (14 votes) is the board treasurer. The handball referee Abeer al Zadjali won the woman board member post a she had .. votes. Her opponent was Rudaina al Hajri. Mohammed al Alawi (23 votes), Nasr al Hasani (19 votes), Tawfeeq Bait Mustaheel (18 votes), and Omar al Balushi (13 votes) won the board members post.
On Monday, Oman Swimming Association’s election will take place in the main indoor hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex and it will start at 11:00. In the following day, the general assembly of Oman Hockey Association (OHA) will vote for the new board while Oman Basketball Association’s election scheduled on Saturday. The conclusion of the sports bodies’ election will be through Oman Football Association (OFA) on August 28.
