Air travellers in Oman must get stamped invoice: MHT

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has issued a circular to travel and tourism offices.
'It has come to our notice that some travel and tourism offices issue air tickets to travelers without notifying them on the ticket policies such as whether the ticket is valid for refund or exchange and the mechanism to change the traveling date and cancellation of the ticket, as per the airlines' terms and condition.' the circular said.
MHT urged all travel and tourism offices to notify the travelers and provide them with a stamped invoice and explaining the details of the ticket purchased with its cancellation and return policy in both languages Arabic and English, in order to protect the passenger legal rights and avoid legal liability.
