Air trough to affect much of Oman

 
Muscat: The latest weather charts and analysis of the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Center show that the upper air trough over Arabian Sea continues to affect most of the Sultanate causing advections of clouds with chances of rain and thundershowers associated with fresh downdraft winds, flow of wadis and local flash floods over Governorate of Dhofar, Governorate of Al Wusta, Al Hajar Mountains and their adjoining areas. The sea condition is expected to be rough along Arabian Sea coasts with wave height ranging from 3.0 to 4.0 meters, whereas, along Oman Sea coast it will be moderate with maximum wave height of 2.0 meters.

The Civil Aviation Authority advises the public to take precautions during thundershowers, flow of wadis and unstable sea state and to follow its latest weather bulletins and reports.
