Stay away from sea, warn authorities

Muscat: The Sultanate will continue to be affected by a trough extended from the Arabian Sea with the possibility of clouds flowing over most of the governorates of the Sultanate and chances of scattered rain and thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by active winds over the Dhofar Governorate and the Al Hajar mountains.
Heavy rains may lead to the flowing of wadis, Oman met said.
As the coasts overlooking the Arabian Sea are expected to experience high sea waves due to the impact of air trough, Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority have urged the public to avoid swimming and keep an eye on children during this period.
"Rough along Arabian Sea coasts with a maximum wave height of 4m and moderate along rest of the coasts with a maximum wave height of 2 m.
Expected to be slightly higher than from Tuesday, the day temperatures are expected to be 36 degrees Celsius in Muscat, 37 degrees Celsius in Suhar, 37 degrees Celsius in Sur, 41 degrees Celsius in Nizwa, and 29 degrees Celsius in Salalah.
