HM the Sultan’s visit to Saudi Arabia an incarnation of strong ties: GCC Secretary General

Riyadh: Dr Nayef Falah Mubarak al Hajraf, GCC Secretary General has said that the historic visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), being His Majesty’s first trip abroad since he assumed power in the Sultanate in January 2020, and his meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia, comes in confirmation of the great status of Saudi Arabia and stems from the deep-rooted ties between the two countries. The visit also responds to the hopes and aspirations of the peoples of the two states, he added.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), Al Hajraf underscored the significance of the visit, which, he said, reflects the wisdom and farsightedness of the leaders as they strive to enhance joint action. He wished the GCC leaders success in realizing further bounty, prosperity and security for their countries’ citizens.
Al Hajraf pointed out that GCC citizens look forward to this visit and appreciate the efforts made by GCC leaders and their keenness on consolidating intra-GCC action and realizing their ambitions.
'Great hopes are pinned on the exceptional ties among GCC leaders, their consultations, joint visions, full understanding and keenness to cooperate in all that safeguards the GCC’s security and prosperity of its citizens,' Al Hajraf said. --ONA
