Blood bank calls for urgent O+ donors

Muscat: The Central Blood Bank at Bausher urged eligible O Positive donors to donate blood as the bank faces an acute shortage of O+ blood.
'Blood group O positive levels continue to decrease due to an increase in demand and a lack of donors over the past period. We urge all O positive carriers to donate blood today and in the coming days,' said a statement from the blood bank.
The Central Blood Bank's blood donation timings are Saturday to Thursday 8 am to 6 pm and on Friday 3 pm to 6 pm.
