Burundi president receives ambassador’s credentials

GITEGA: Maj Gen Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic of Burundi, received at the presidential headquarters here Ali Abdullah al Mahrouqi, who presented his credentials as the Sultanate’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Burundi.
The ambassador conveyed greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and best wishes of good health and wellbeing to President Ndayishimiye, and the friendly people of Burundi further progress and prosperity.
On his turn, President Ndayishimiye asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, and his best wishes to the Omani people. -- ONA
