The Foreign Ministry has issued an alert for travellers to Georgia.
The ministry said that Georgia prohibits the entry of medicines containing codeine, for example - Panadol Extra and Vivadol Plus
The Foreign Ministry said that the laws in Georgia impose a fine of more than $3,000 and a penalty of up to four years in prison for violating the Prohibition Law.
The ministry called on citizens to take caution when traveling abroad and make sure of medicines and materials allowed to enter the countries to be visited.

Oman Air has launched seasonal service between Muscat and Tbilisi, Georgia, with two weekly direct flights (Wednesdays and Sundays), operated with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Flights will operate from June 16 to September 16, 2021, subject to government approvals.
