Commercial establishments fined for violating Covid-19 norms

 
The municipal authorities in the country continue to monitor and fine commercial establishments for violating SC guidelines and not following preventive measures.

On Wednesday, the Al Buraimi municipality issued a fine against the MS-Max shopping Centre for not complying with the precautionary requirements and measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The North Al Batinah Municipality issued penalised three commercial establishments in Suwaiq for not complying with the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

The account stated that the violating establishments are Taj Deluxe Shopping, Taj Hypermarket, and Noor Ghazal Mill.

South Al Batinah Municipality reported violations by some commercial establishments in the Wilayat of Barka, which included non-compliance with the Supreme Committee decisions on Covid-19.

The facilities are Makkah Hypermarket, Grand Centre, Barka Gate Mall, and Fast Line Bakery.

The authorities have warned that the decision to reduce entry to complexes, shops, restaurants, and cafes to 50 per cent of its capacity is still in effect and that violating these decisions will lead to strict action and penalties.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, too has initiated action against one of the hotel establishments, which included complete closure for violating the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee.

In coordination with the Supreme Committee, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has banned meetings and celebrations and gatherings in hotel and tourist establishments. It also announced the closure of all public facilities in hotel establishments between 8 pm and 4 am.
