CSC delegation visits Majlis Ash’shura

MUSCAT: Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura, received a delegation from the Command and Staff College at the council’s premises, on Monday.

Al Nadabi presented a visual display explaining the purviews and working mechanisms of Majlis Ash’shura, to the delegation. He explained the council’s legislative role in discussing and approving the draft laws referred to the council from the government, proposing new laws and amending the existing ones.

Al Nadabi also explained the council’s oversight role in accordance with the applied regulations stated by the Council of Oman’s Law. He reviewed statistics indicating the activation of the role and purviews of Majlis Ash’shura during the eighth and ninth terms.
