Oman hails UAE's election to Security Council

The Sultanate has congratulated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on its election to the Security Council for the year 2022-2023 and expressed its support for the UAE government in its duties towards issues of international peace and security, which at the same time serves the interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Arab and Islamic matters.
'The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Sultanate of Oman's congratulations to the United Arab Emirates for its election as a member of the Security Council for the period 2022-2023, and expresses its support for the UAE government in its duties towards international peace and security issues, and at the same time serving the interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab and Islamic issues,' the official statement said.
