State Council Chairman receives Yemeni Foreign Minister

Muscat: Shaikh Abdulmalik Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council on Tuesday received Dr Ahmad Awad Mubarak, Minister for Foreign and Expatriates Affairs in the Republic of Yemen, within the framework of his current visit to the Sultanate.

The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of enhancing them, as well as discussing the current regional situations.

Shaikh Abdulmalik hoped this visit would achieve its desired goals, wishing for Yemen security, peace and stability.

On his turn, the Yemeni guest hailed the Sultanate's constant stands towards supporting security, stability and unity of Yemen, in addition to its role in backing peace process and ending conflicts in the region.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Yousef al Zarafi, member of the State Council, the Secretary General of the State Council and the Yemeni Ambassador to the Sultanate. --ONA
