Al Azhar applauds Oman’s message of tolerance and moderation

Muscat: Sheikh Dr Ahmed al Tayeb, Al Azhar’s Grand Imam, expressed his best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik. He also wished the Omani peoples further permanent welfare, prosperity and stability.

He affirmed to Oman News Agency (ONA) that Al Azhar appreciates the Sultanate’s continuous role in supporting moderation and tolerance in regional and international levels.

This came after his meeting with Abdullah Nassir al Rahbi, the Sultanate’s Ambassador and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League. --ONA
