Vaccination for Grade 12 students begins

 

Muscat: The vaccination campaign for Grade 12 students in government and private schools commenced on Wednesday.

The main centers included The Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, and public schools.

Doctors educated students about the importance of taking the Covid 19 vaccine before starting the vaccination process.

Meanwhile, officials from the Minister of Education and head of the vaccination campaign visited centers in the Governorate of Muscat on Tuesday to oversee the readiness for the campaign.

The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, started the vaccination of Grade 12 students applying for the general education diploma examinations, including students of public and private schools, students at Islamic science institutes, special education schools, and other public education institutions.

Immunization also includes the teaching staff supervising the general education diploma, members of examination committees, observers and correctors, workers in examination centers, and test-takers. General education diploma and its level, and the employees of the Center for Educational Measurement and Evaluation and Correction Centers, while taking all precautionary measures followed in this regard in all places of vaccination in the governorates of the Sultanate.
