Mazoon College is hosting an international conference that will debate the impact of oil prices on the future of GCC economies. The two events will take place at the Crowne Plaza Muscat during May 25-26, 2021.

It will be opened under the auspices of Sayyid Sulaiman bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Deputy Secretary- General of the Council of Ministers, on May 25.

Well-known academics from Sultan Qaboos University, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, the Danish University of Aarhus, and the Australian University of Technology, will present a number of research papers. They will weigh on various topics relating to the relationship between energy and development, the future scope of renewable energy development, and the potential for Oman to evolve into an engine of economic growth.

A second session will feature speakers from the American International College, Missouri University of Science and Technology and North Carolina State University of Agriculture and Technology, as well as a number of specialists from international companies. They will focus on the impact of global oil prices on economies of the Middle East, the next generation of nuclear energy in the Middle East, the social responsibility of companies, oil, the environment, and green energy. — ONA
