Sultanate to get 200,000 doses per week from June

MUSCAT: The Sultanate is expected to receive some 200,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine per week starting from June.

This was stated by Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health who confirmed that vaccine shipments will continue to arrive in the Sultanate expressing his hope that the vaccination rates will cross 35 percent up from 30 percent of citizens and residents by the end of August.

The minister called on the parents of grade 12 students to encourage them to get the Covid-19 vaccine noting that the disease infects all age groups and not only the elderly.
