Muscat, May 16 - Oman national football team arrived in Dubai on Sunday to continue the second part of the overseas camp which will conclude by May end. A total of 29 players, including newly joined Al Mundher al Alawi and Jameel al Yahmadi, will train under the watchful eyes of coach Branko Ivankovic for preparation for the joint qualification of the 2022 Fifa World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup Championship.

The ‘Red Warriors’ players will have two vital friendly games in this external preparatory camp as they will face Thailand and Indonesia on May 25 and 29 respectively.

Both warm-up matches will assist the Croatian coach Branko and his technical staff to identify the starting list of the team for the upcoming qualifier matches. Moreover, Dubai camp will act as the crucial step to increase the physical and fitness aspects prior to the final camp which will take place in Doha from June 1 to 5 ahead of the first match in the qualifier against the hosts Qatar, on June 7

Looking forward that this external camp will accomplish all the desired targets which will assist the national team to register top results in the qualification matches,” he added.
