Oman to be affected by low pressure: Met

The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre’s weather analysis has indicated that the Sultanate will be affected by a trough of low pressure (Al Khair Trough) between April 29 and May 1, Oman Meteorology said.

There is a possibility of rains of varying intensity, thunderstorms, accompanied by active winds, and hail in most of the governorates of the Sultanate

Oman Meteorology has warned of flowing wadis due to heavy rains in the Governorate of Musandam and areas around Hajar Mountains and its adjacent areas. There are chances of rising dust in open places.

The sea state will be moderate with a maximum wave height of 2.5 meters.

Oman Meteorology has called on citizens and residents to take caution during heavy rains that may lead to flowing wadis.
